You don't want it right at the center, nor do you want it directly at the end. You do what the slip knot set up so that what you pull on the longer part of the lace, the knot will tighten. Work the string in between the car door and the frame of your car, with the look going into the car. You may have to jiggle the car door a little in order to get the space to do it, which is why you want a thin string. Get the loop on the lock post and then pull up.
Roadside Assistance/Locksmith
